Detroit Lions Forum Guidelines
Four Must-Follow Rules
1. WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE!
Remember, this is a family site. We all get a little TOO frustrated with our football at times. But do NOT abuse the privilege. Messages that management notice to contain vulgarities, and offensive or abusive language will be deleted or modified without notice, and repeat offenders will be subject to banishment. We the management have lives as well, and do not have time to edit and repost your messages. If you can't control yourself, find a site that accepts obscenities.
2. NO FLAMING!
Debate is MORE than welcome. We are all part of the Detroit Lions Forum family and treat each other with kindness and respect. If another member's opinion differs from yours, don't accuse them of being crazy, or question their personal integrity, honesty, or moral code. Don't harass fellow members. Everyone who posts here has feelings, and when at the Detroit Lions Forum, those feelings will be respected. "Tone" is not always taken as it's intended, and if you know certain members do not get along with you, then avoidance is encouraged. Do not bait members into arguments, do not presume to judge members here that you've never met in person.
3. RESPECT FOR MANAGEMENT ( Front Office ), PLAYERS, AND COACHES
Players and coaches are real people too. They have families. Constructive Criticism is welcomed, especially management decisions, coaching decisions, and playing performance. But please don't PERSONALLY bash someone because of race, religion, gender, etc.
4. KEEP IT HONEST AND ETHICAL
There is nothing wrong with asking the Management to post links to contests, polls, etc., available at other sites. It is, however, unethical to ask members to give their credit card numbers, etc. to join a club promotion. That's not what our membership is about, and the Management will protect their integrity and reputation by deleting such posts WITHOUT NOTICE.
There is a certain internet etiquette, and it is in full force here. Be respectful. You can present your point of view without attacking someone else or theirs.
If you have a complaint or concern about the Detroit Lions Forum, by all means, we appreciate your input! As for spam, we will NOT tolerate it disrupting our members. It's bad enough we have to put up with it in our daily e-mail.
All such posts will be deleted. Remember that disagreeing with you doesn't automatically mean they're flaming you. If you are flamed, that does NOT give free license to flame back. Two wrongs do NOT make a right.
Report an inflammatory post to management and it will be deleted. You can damage yourself by entering into a flame war.
Posts that violate the above will be deleted at the managers discretion.
Report inappropriate posts to the DLF admin.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
