Detroit Lions cut 6 players in move toward roster limit

In this thread, I'm not counting Travis Fulgham ( separate thread and report ) or Michael Jackson (trade ) regarding the players released by the Lions on Sunday ( yesterday )
Of the 4 other players, Eddie Lacy looked like he had the best chance of being on the Lions opening day roster. Even that chance looked like it was below 50% to at least some extent.
Other than possibly Josh Garrett, none of the other 3 players has much upside potential. I'm not sure why the Lions gave up on Garrett before he practiced even one snap with the team. But the fact that the 49ers gave up on him after last pre-season indicated that Jackson had an uphill battle to make the Lions opening day roster in 2020.
