I respect John Atkins' decision and any other NFL player that is opting out of the 2020 season.
A number of heavy DTs have already opted out of the NFL.
DT was already one of the greatest question marks on the Lions. Arguably, the # 1 question mark.
John Atkins showed flashes of big time ability as a run Defender and even some as a pass rusher. He was very inconsistent though in 2019.
