Detroit Lions plan to sign another key special teams piece in ex-Chargers WR Geremy Davis

Though Geremy Davis should upgrade the Lions Special Teams if he's one of the 53 players the Lions keep in the regular season, I don't think it's a realistic expectation for him to be a starting WR if Kenny Golladay or Marvin Jones are unable to play. For the most part, Davis is competing with players at many positions for a roster spot. He's going to have to be amongst the Lions best Special Teams players to win and then retain a roster spot.
It wouldn't surprise me if the contract with Geremy Davis is at the NFL Veteran Minimum. If not, relatively close to that.
