I don't think the Lions are going to target a WR in Free Agency this year who is expected to be a starter in 1, 2, or 3 WR alignments. A versatile depth piece at WR in Free Agency is a realistic possibility. That doesn't chance the long term needs at WR, which will very likely be addressed in the deep 2020 WR draft class. A special teams oriented WR in Free Agency is something the Lions will likely seriously consider.

Tajae Sharpe won't remind practically anyone of Stefon Diggs as a receiver ( both are former 5th Round picks.). But much like Diggs, Sharpe has experience playing in a heavily run oriented Offense. The Vikings likely highly value Sharpe's blocking.
