Henry Ruggs runs the 40 in 4.27 seconds
………………
On top of this, Henry Ruggs III had a 42" Vertical Jump at the Combine. He probably now has a realistic chance of going in the top 10 of the Draft. Even with a high quality and deep WR draft crop.

NFL Combine Winners and Losers: Wide Receivers
……………..
Not running the 40 at the Combine looks like a bad decision by Tee Higgins. Unless a WR in this year's draft crop is dealing with an injury, I think not running the 40 in Combine is going to adversely affect his draft stock to some extent. DE Chase Young can get away with not running the 40 in the Combine because he has unique differential skills. There many high end athletes at WR in this draft that now have tangible evidence of this on a running surface they competed against other WRs on.

Colorado wideout Laviska Shenault doesn’t need surgery for groin issue
Laviska Shenault to have surgery after Combine
Recap of three Colorado Buffaloes at the 2020 NFL Combine
…………………….
Kudos to Laviska Shenault for running the 40 and for doing the bench press drill, despite the groin injury. Not to mention Shenault playing through the injury, with the exception of the injury keeping him out for 2 games. Shenault's overall injury history is concerning, as he missed 3 games in the 2018 season. But from ability, production, versality, and competitive standpoints, Shenault has plenty of positives as an NFL draft prospect. The groin injury should be kept in mind regarding his 4.58 40 Time. Teams will have to look at the game tapes closely to see how fast, quick, and flexible Shenault looked when he was relatively healthy. With pick # 35 in Round 2, I think Shenault should at least be in the conversation for the Lions, if the team's medical people are satisfied.

2020 NFL draft preview: Lions can solidify future at WR thanks to ultra-deep class
………………
I think there's a good chance the Lions draft a Wide Receiver in the top 4 Rounds. One question that quickly comes to mind is what type of WR are the Lions prioritizing, if everything is equal?
A later round pick at WR, along with an earlier pick, is a realistic possibility. Probably, at least a 45 % chance.
If Denzel Mims is available with pick # 35, I hope the Lions seriously consider him if there are no hidden issues with him. Otherwise, for the most part, I hope the Lions wait until at least Round 3 to draft a WR. Chase Claypool with pick # 35 is intriguing. If I have an opportunity to do a 3 Round Mock Draft, it will greatly help determine what look like many, maybe even most, of the good options are, at a specific draft spot.

Doctor tells teams Jerry Jeudy’s knee is sound
……………..
One or more NFL teams might be trying to lower Jerry Jeudy's draft stock in order for them to land him.
Having said this, there will very likely be players in this draft with a significant injury history, that fall much further in the draft than if this was a relatively normal off-season.

Why Detroit Lions must indulge in historically deep WR class in 2020 NFL draft
………......…
Unless value at WR stands out when pick # 35 comes, I think the Lions should wait until at least the team's next pick ( # 67 is the next scheduled pick ) to seriously consider a WR.
Tyler Johnson, who I didn't include in my 109 player Mock Draft ( through the early 4th Round ) probably will be taken somewhere in the mid rounds. He was highly productive with Minnesota. However, is his upside potential high enough to take him over some other options? I think the Lions can get better value at WR, at least in the first 4 Rounds.
Lynn Bowden Jr., another player I didn't include in my Mock Draft, probably will be taken somewhere in Round 3 through 5. He's a project at WR but he could potentially be used as a gadget player as he develops at WR. Darrell Bevell likely is intrigued by the ways he can use Bowden. The 5th Round would be a good value spot for Bowden.
