Eight running backs who should entice Detroit Lions on Day 2 or 3 of 2020 NFL draft
……………
There's a very good chance the Lions will draft a RB at some point of the upcoming draft. When in the draft and what type of RB are the questions that jump out?
D’Andre Swift probably would heavily in the Lions brass conversation if he's available with pick # 35 in early Round 2. My guess is the Lions won't draft any other RB in this crop that high.
Good value at RB probably can be found in the Middle Rounds.

2020 NFL draft preview: What kind of running back will the Lions target?
……………..
I would classify J.D. McKissic as a notable departure. My guess is the Lions will be looking for someone to replace the versatile playmaking role that McKissic filled in the 2019 season.
If Cam Akers is available with the Lions first 3rd Round pick ( pick # 67 ), he would be well worth considering. Assuming, the Lions don't draft a RB earlier.
There are varied opinions of those who have watched Eno Benjamin frequently, regarding his running style effort.

D’Andre Swift favored to be the first running back off the board
……………..
I'm not sure why J.K. Dobbins dropped to the 3rd most likely RB to be the first RB drafted in 2020. That much more to a + 500 number. At least for the time being, Dobbins is my choice of being the first RB drafted ( Chiefs-pick # 32 ). Though I think it's close to a toss up between him and D'Andre Swift at which RB goes first. The Dolphins and Chiefs are the only teams in their current draft spots that I think are seriously considering drafting a RB in Round 1 in this draft.
