Chris Harris chooses the Chargers
...……….
I think the chances of the Lions trading Darius Slay before the 2020 Draft have been reduced substantially, based on many less quality options at CB than prior to the beginning of the Legal Tampering Period this past Monday.

Buccaneers re-sign Andrew Adams
………………
As good as Andrew Adams' ball skills are, the high number of missed tackles last summer are very likely why the Lions released him.

Washington signs Ronald Darby
………………
With Ronald Darby suffering a torn ACL in the 2018 season and a hip injury in the 2019 season, he's a player that an evaluation by team doctors was even more important than with a player who didn't suffer major injuries in recent seasons.
Even with Cory Undlin as the new Lions Defensive Coordinator, it's hard to find fault with the Lions not landing Darby in 2020. Assuming the salary cap number for 2020 with the contract Darby signed with the Redskins is at or close to $ 4 million, that's much greater than an NFL Minimum type of contract. With the risk associated with the Lions not having a team medical evaluation of Desmond Trufant, who is a much more expensive investment, another significant investment of a CB coming off an injury might have been beyond the limit the Lions were willing to go.
It's also possible that Cory Undlin had reservations about Ronald Darby and that was the # 1 factor in the Lions not signing him. It's all speculation regarding what transpired.
With the Redskins surprisingly trading CB Quinton Dunbar to the Seahawks for only a 5th Round pick ( despite a cap friendly contract for 2020 ), the addition of Darby was an important one. Now, they have to hope that Darby can regain his pre-injury skills.

Bengals will release Dre Kirkpatrick
………………
Dre Kirkpatrick is someone I would like the Lions to have interest in signing. However, because he's coming off a knee that landed him on IR, it's probably best to wait until the Lions can bring him in for a medical evaluation. I'm not anticipating Kirkpatrick to be a bargain basement acquisition.
