It's likely that Jeff Driskel was going to be limited this week, heading to the game at Minnesota. Between that, the promise David Blough displayed vs. Chicago on Thanksgiving Day, and tbe opportunity to bring in Kyle Sloter leading up to the game against a former team, all likely contributed to the decision to make the transaction.
Kyle Sloter had some positive reviews in pre-season games with the Vikings. It makes sense for the Lions brass to see if he's worth offering an opportunity in 2020.
