PFT’s Week 13 picks
Bears at Lions
MDS’s take: The Bears are still clinging to remote playoff hopes, while the Lions’ season is spiraling downward. This will be an ugly game to watch before your turkey.
MDS’s pick: Bears 19, Lions 6.
Florio’s take: The Bears scratch and claw toward what would be one of the most unlikely playoff berths in years. They won’t get there, but it’s fun to watch.
Florio’s pick: Bears 20, Lions 10.

Unless the Lions give up a late TD, my gut feeling is this game will be closer regardless which team wins the game. The Lions haven't been winning but the games have been close. Including, the one in Chicago 17 days ago.

Though the Lions won the game, Khalil Mack was dominant against the Lions in the 2nd half of the Raiders-Lions game in Detroit in 2015. This is a classic example of sack numbers are misleading in some games.

Unless Lions turnovers lead to Bears point directly or indirectly ( relatively short drives), I don't anticipate the Bears putting up more than 20 points in this game. I think the Lions Defense is going to hold up it's end of the bargain much more often than not in this game. The Bears are dealing with numerous injuries on Offense.

Detroit Lions inactives: DT Damon Harrison won't play vs. Chicago Bears

The loss of Damon Harrison is huge. However, getting Da'Shawn Hand and Trey Flowers back might be enough for the loss to compensate. If Hand is able to play 35 or more snaps and the Lions protect the ball on Offense, I think the Lions will win a close game. I've seen the Lions do the unexpected on many Thanksgiving Days over the decades. Today has the feel of one of those days:
Prediction: Lions 16, Bears 13.
