5 things to watch: Lions will face an Eagles team ravaged by injury
………………...
Akeem Spence was released from the Dolphins this summer. Though Spence is far from a star player, he should benefit because of the presence of DT Fletcher Cox, DE Brandon Graham, and DE Derrick Barnett. These 3 D-Lineman are game changing players.
The Eagles are deep at WR.
The 2 interceptions Carson Wentz through were clearly because he was playing injured. Later in the game ( and early in the game ), Wentz looked like his usual self. If not for a dropped pass by Nelson Agholor down the Left sideline on the Eagles final drive, that probably would have been a TD, the Eagles would have been in position to win the game. My respect for Wentz as a QB is very high. He might be the 2nd best young QB in the NFL, with only Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes ( who the Lions are scheduled to face a week later ) , better. IMHO, Mahomes is already one of the 2 best ( Tom Brady is the other ) the best QB in the NFL. He has the look of an eventual all time NFL great. Wentz is somewhere in the top 10 QBs in the NFL. Maybe, even top 5. Drew Brees and Russell Wilson certainly belong in the conversation. Aaron Rodgers, who the Lions face right after the bye, looks like he's back in the top 5.

PFT’s Week Three picks
Lions at Eagles
MDS’s take: The Lions’ defense has played seven good quarters this season, although wearing down against the Cardinals in Week One caused them to tie a game they should have won. I think Carson Wentz is going to struggle, but Matthew Stafford will struggle too against an Eagles defensive coordinator who knows him well, Jim Schwartz. This is a low-scoring game that the home team takes with a late field goal.
MDS’s pick: Eagles 10, Lions 7.
Florio’s take: The Eagles have plenty of injured players, but Carson Wentz is healthy and that’s good enough to make the difference.
Florio’s pick: Eagles 27, Lions 20.
…………….
Jim Schwartz hasn't been around Matthew Stafford on a daily basis as a coach since December, 2013. Plenty has changed with Stafford since then, including Stafford being with a 3rd different Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Scheme.

Detroit News predictions: Lions at Eagles
…………………..
The Eagles still have big time players on the Defensive Line. There's no question though that they have lost a considerable amount at DT because of injuries.

Lions at Eagles: View from the other side
…………..
The Lions run Defense needs to be better than it was since before the 4th QTR of the game at Arizona. This is certainly a key to tomorrow's game in Philadelphia.
