Lions release C.J. Anderson after claiming Paul Perkins …………... …. The reason why I disagree with the transaction is the Lions no longer have a RB who has been in tbe NFL for more than 4 seasons. C.J. Anderson was like a player coach. He also was on a Super Bowl winning team with Denver and played in 2 other Super Bowls. With the release of QB Josh Johnson earlier today, the Lions lost a substantial amount of NFL experience as a result of the 2 transactions.

Detroit Lions awarded ex-Giants running back off waivers, release C.J. Anderson
………………
Ironically, Paul Perkins has already been a difference maker for the Lions. In the 2016 regular season finale, Perkins had his only 100 plus yards rushing game of his NFL career through this point in time. Tbe Giants beat tbe Redskins 19-10 on the road in the regular season finale. That game eliminated the Redskins from the playoffs, which enabled the Packers and Lions to clinch a playoff berth before their NFC North Title stakes game on Sunday Night Football. Perkins was impressive that late afternoon and early evening.

…………..
This doesn't take into account the intangibles C.J. Anderson brought to the table.
