PFT’s Week One power rankings
25. Lions (No. 25): No one is paying attention to the Lions, and the Lions surely like it that way.
………...
The Lions finished with the 25th 'best' record in the NFL in 2018. Until/ unless the Lions demonstrate the team is better than that in 2019, the # 25 power ranking is appropriate. It's meaningless entering the season other than as a discussion about the various NFL teams entering the 2019 season.

PFT’s Week Two power rankings
27. Lions (0-0-1; No. 25): They say a tie is like kissing your sister. For the Lions, that tie was like getting your ass kicked by your little brother whose feet still dangle when he’s sitting on the toilet.
………………..
The drop from # 25 to # 27 is warranted based on the Lions failing to secure a win when having a 24-6 lead in the 4th QTR. Especially, when considering the Cardinals roster/ situations for this game

PFT’s Week Three power rankings
6. Eagles (1-1; No. 3): Good news — Carson Wentz is still healthy. Bad news — among his teammates, he’s in the minority.
11. Chargers (1-1; No. 10): They lost a regular-season game played outside of L.A. for the first time since December 16, 2017.
22. Lions (1-0-1; No. 27): Second place in the NFC North through two games is a lot better than anyone expected.
............…….
It makes no sense that the Chargers are ahead of the Lions in Power Rankings at this point in time.

PFT’s Week Four power rankings
2. Chiefs (3-0; No. 2): With Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs may break New England’s new regular-season wins record in the next decade.
19. Lions (2-0-1; No. 22): With the Chiefs coming to town, we’re about to find out how good this team really is.
20. Eagles (1-2; No. 6): My NFC preseason Super Bowl representative has plenty of work to do, starting Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
……………..
Regardless what transpires in the games to follow, the Lions shouldn't currently be behind teams with a 1-2 record.
Even factoring in the injury situations the Chargers and Eagles dealt with against the Lions, these were playoff teams in the 2018 season that each won a road playoff game.
