It's highly likely that Paul Pasqualoni won't be the Lions Defensive Coordinator for the 2020 season. Having said that, too much blame has come Pasqualoni's way for the Lions massive struggles on Defense in 2019. The Defensive System, which Matt Patricia is responsible for, has major flaws. Too many things have to go right for the Lions Defense to function well. This Defensive system is geared too much to coverage and not enough to pass rush. Injuries, especially on the Defensive Line, has put Pasqualoni in a very difficult position.
