Deontez Alexander could get another P.S. opportunity with the Lions if he shows promise in the next 2 1/2 weeks.
The fact that the Lions are willing to expose Tre Lamar to waivers suggests he wasn't going to survive the cutdown to 53 players. It's realistically possible Lamar will get another opportunity with the Lions. He has the size that fits well in the Lions Defensive system.
