Here is how Matt Patricia summed up his first season as Lions coach……………………. This thread relates to the following thread: Lions 31, Packers 0 : Game # 16 ( 2018 ) The overall Lions 2018 season was a disappointment. But there were positives, including some mentioned in the article. The jury is out on whether Matt Patricia will have a long successful HC career with the Lions. But the fact that the Lions players approached the season finale at Green Bay as a very important game, is a much needed encouraging sign that at least a foundation of players have bought into Patricia's program. The value of the win AND performance at Green Bay from my point of view is greater than the benefit of having pick # 5 compared to pick # 8 in the 2019 NFL Draft. Much like I believe the value of keeping Golden Tate the rest of the season would have been greater than the 3rd Round pick the Lions received from the Eagles two days after the game # 7 loss to Seattle.
