Lions open as nearly two-touchdown favorites in return home vs. Jaguars
........
The Lions can't afford to take the Jaguars or any other NFL team lightly.
Yesterday, the Jaguars kept the Vikings from getting a TD the entire game. The Vikings had many long drives in Jacksonville but they failed repeatedly in the red zone or close to the red zone. The Jaguars Special Teams also performed at a winning level yesterday.
It remains to be seen who the Jaguars QB is in Detroit. Trevor Lawrence, when relatively healthy, is amongst the most talented QBs in the NFL.
Mac Jones didn't deliver on the Jaguars last two drives, with the Jaguars having the opportunity to go ahead of the Vikings with a TD. But in fairness to Jones, many of his teammates on Offense didn't execute well. The struggles of the Jags RBs in picking up blitzes jumped out. WR Gabriel Davis wasn't on the same page as Jones on the interception on what became the team's final possession. Jones has talent, as evidenced by his 4 TD playoff game in Kansas City earlier this decade, that the Chiefs ended up winning. But he doesn't seem to have the intangible elements, including attention to detail.

PFT’s Week 11 2024 NFL picks: Florio vs. Simms
Jaguars at Lions (-13)
The Lions could start their backups and cover the spread in this one. (Which probably means the Jaguars will win.)
Florio: Lions, 45-14.
Simms: Lions, 38-16.

Lions vs, Jaguars Injury info: Game # 10 (2024)
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/2313/lions-jaguars-injury-info-game
The Jaguars were in the thick of their recent games against the Packers, Eagles, and Vikings. Even without QB Trevor Lawrence and WR Christian Kirk, the Lions can't afford to take the Jaguars lightly.
Jaguars have plenty of good players that could cause the Lions or any team problems. I'm not taking this game or any game for granted. The Jags have nothing to lose and could throw the kitchen sink at the Lions in the attempt to get a signature win. The Lions were in a similar position not that long ago. Coach Campbell and his staff reminded the Lions players this before the Tennessee game a few weeks ago. I'm confident that message will be repeated on multiple occasions leading up to the game vs. the Jags.

Doug Pederson: Jaguars don’t feel defeated even as the results aren’t what we want
.....
Doug Pederson was the HC of the Eagles when they won the 2017 season Super Bowl. He was the HC of the Jaguars in the 2022 season when they went on a late season run, which resulted in the Jaguars winning the AFC South Title, and a comeback win over the LA Chargers in Round 1 of the playoffs after the Jaguars were down 27-0 in the 2nd QTR. The Lions can't afford to take the Jaguars lightly.

Jaguars make pair of practice squad promotions for Week 11
..........
With all of the injuries the Lions have had with backup/role playing LBs, apparently, the Lions didn't attempt to sign Anthony Pittman for the Jaguars Practice Squad. It seems likely that the Lions have moved on from Pittman.

Key Matchups: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions
...........
If Taylor Decker is relatively healthy, I think he will perform better against Josh Allen-Hines than Cam Robinson did this past Sunday. Having said that, providing Decker with some help against JAH would make sense.
Brian Thomas Jr. looks like he has the skills to be a foundation piece for the Jaguars. He's by far the Jaguars Offensive player in this game that concerns me for this game. The Lions can't let Thomas take over the game. Even without Trevor Lawerence, Thomas is a huge concern.

Jaguars vs. Lions: Inactive lists
........
My prediction is Lions 31, Jaguars 14.
I'm not taking the Jags for granted. I expect them to throw the kitchen sink at the Lions. Doug Pederson's job could be on the line today.
