Isaiah Thomas was the least impactful edge player the Lions used this season. I'm not surprised at all that the Lions released him today.
I would be very surprised if Thomas was claimed off waivers.
More likely than not, the Lions aren't going to sign Thomas to the PS if he clears waivers. There's a better chance the Bengals would have interest in bringing Thomas back to their PS.
