This might be the most radical NFL rule change in many decades. Until seeing this rule change in action in NFL regular season games, it's going to be difficult to gauge whether this is an improvement for the NFL. It's going to be a huge challenge for Special Teams Coordinators and for GMs/ NFL Personnel Decision Makers.

With the Kickoff Rules being vast differently, plenty of time in practice is going to be needed for Kickoffs. Longer Training Camp practices probably will be necessary, at least on some days.

This is a change that I definitely support.

I'm not sure if the 1 or 2 IR moves in the cutdown to 53 counts as part of the 8 overall IR Designations for Return NFL teams can make during the regular season.
