Yes, the Lions brought in a longsnapper prospect for a visit
……………………………………………………………………….
Two corrections from the article:
1. The poor snap by Don Muhlbach was on a PAT attempt in the 2nd QTR of the game at Buffalo this past December.
2. Jason Hanson is the Lions all-time leader in games played with the team.
Teams don't have the luxury of keeping 2 Long Snappers on the 53 man roster for an extended period. If the Lions draft a LS, the hope by the team brass will be for the rookie to handle the position well enough in practice and pre-season games to earn the confidence to be the Lions LS as a rookie.
I definitely hope the Lions don't use a draft pick on a LS. Competition from an UDRFA makes more sense.
