Lions to open preseason by hosting champion Patriots (and probably joint practices too)

My guess is the Lions will hold joint practices with the Texans ( in addition with the Patriots ), because Bill O'Brien was on the Bill Belichick coaching staff for a few years.

That’s a good guess...the more the joint practices the better.

Joe, a related thought is the challenge for the Lions in practicing in the heat and humidity of Houston. If the players with the team in 2018 thought Training Camp under Matt Patricia was grueling last summer, they are in for another reality check.
