Devon Kennard is studying top pass rushers this offseason
…………..
Even if Devon Kennard takes his pass rush to a higher level, the Lions can definitely use a gifted speed and quickness edge rusher. Kennard is a high effort edge player / OLB. But the edge rushers that Kennard mentioned he's studying this off-season are all more talented than he is.

Lions' Devon Kennard part of Phoenix area's pass-rush pipeline — just like Terrell Suggs
………………
Devon Kennard was sidelined by injury in the Lions 17-3 win in Arizona last December. Knowing how much he wanted to play in that game, he should be beyond primed for Sunday's season opener.
Though Devon Kennard hasn't been the player Terrell Suggs has been ( few players in NFL history have ), they both entered the NFL coming off Combines in which they didn't run good 40 times. Suggs still was a top 10 pick. He rewarded the Ravens with a stellar NFL career. It's easy to see why Kennard has so much respect for Suggs. He's a tremendous addition for a rebuilding Cardinals team even just from an intangible standpoint. On the field as a player, Suggs is still more than capable of being a difference maker. Including from a recognition standpoint. Suggs has a tremendous amount of football knowledge to go with excellent playing instincts.
