Report: Vikings QB Kirk Cousins has a torn Achilles
.........
Very unfortunate news for Kirk Cousins and the Vikings.
The season ending injury to Kirk Cousins came in a game in which might have been Cousins' best game of his entire NFL career. I can't recall a game in which Cousins was playing at a higher level. In addition, the Vikings were dominating the game on both sides of the ball. There were many similarities between this game and the first half of the first half of the Thursday Night Lions-Packers game in the latter part of September.

It remains to be seen how Jared Hall performs for the Vikings in Atlanta this coming Sunday, with a full week of practice leading up to the game? And if the Vikings decide to trade for a QB?
Prior to Cousins injury, the Vikings looked like a legit contender to win the NFC North Title. Whether they still are remains to be seen? So much could depend on the Lions injury situation moving forward?
At this point in time, the Packers and Bears don't look like serious NFC North contenders. Having said that, the Lions can't take either team lightly in the 3 remaining combined games.
