For Ifeatu Melifonwu to have a breakout season, he needs to finally stay relatively healthy. That's something he was unable to do his first two seasons. Melifonwu needs plenty of practice reps and pre-season game snaps for him to be substantially more than a player on the Lions roster bubble.
One thing in particular in addition to the health factor, that could help Melifonwu not only make the Lions 53 man roster, but be active on Game Days, is his versatility on Defense.
