PFT’s Week 9 2022 NFL picks
Packers (-3.5) at Lions
MDS’s take: Aaron Rodgers says the Packers just need one win to turn things around. They’ll get it on Sunday.
MDS’s pick: Packers 34, Lions 27.
Florio’s take: It’s now or never for Aaron Rodgers and company.
Florio’s pick: Packers 38, Lions 27.

Lions vs. Packers Injury info: Game # 8 ( 2022 )

My hunch at this time is the game will have less scoring. With the score being at or around, Packers 27, Lions 20.

4 Lions who must have good days for Detroit to beat the Green Bay Packers
..........
An additional Lions play against the Packers, in which the officiating crew was a focal point after the game comes to mind. This was the highly questionable Facemask Penalty call on DE Devin Taylor vs. Aaron Rodgers, on the Thursday Night game in Detroit (on the first week of December, 2015). The penalty call gave Aaron Rodgers the opportunity to complete a desperation Game Winning pass to TE Richard Rodgers.

Predictions: Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers
.........
Unless D'Andre Swift performs much better as a rusher (runner) than he did vs. the Dolphins last Sunday and remains effective & efficient through the entire game, it will probably be an uphill battle for the Lions to even reach the 20 point mark.
I'm surprised that two of the 4 Detroit News Writers are picking the Lions to win the game. Aaron Rodgers is more than capable of still leading the Packers to the playoffs and wins in the playoffs

Scouting report: Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers
.......
Before Josh Reynolds was claimed off waivers by the Lions last season and adjusted to the Lions Offense under Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson, the Lions struggled mightily to put points up on Offense. If Reynolds doesn't play vs. the Packers (he's listed as Doubtful) or is significantly limited, the Packers Defense will probably focus heavily vs. the run and on short passes. This is even with the vertical speed of Kalif Raymond.
With T.J. Hockenson traded to the Vikings earlier in the week, Ben Johnson has his work cut out for him in this game. Stanley Berryhill is an X factor in the deep passing game the Lions need to come through.

Lions still wary despite Packers’, Aaron Rodgers’ struggles
.........
It's insanity to understatement what Aaron Rodgers is still capable of as a QB. I'm glad the Lions are at least saying the right things regarding Rodgers.
Randall Cobb is on IR, hence the Packers are without their top Slot WR. However, with Sammy Watkins set to play his 3rd straight game, after being on IR with a Hamstring Injury, and Christian Watson likely going to be cleared after suffering a Concussion at Buffalo last Sunday Night, the Packers appear in better shape vertically than has been the case most of the season.

Lions inactive players for Week 9 vs. Packers: Healthy scratches on the DL ..........
The loss of Josh Reynolds, even as a decoy, is a major setback for the Lions.
If the season ended today, the Lions and Austin Bryant would probably be going their separate ways in the 2023 season. Bryant is an UFA in 2023. Bryant is a high effort/ high hustle player. But his impact in the 2022 pre-season hasn't carried over to the regular season.
