Bears working to finalize trade of Khalil Mack to Chargers

Unless the Bears get much more salary cap relief, including in 2022, this looks like a one sided trade in favor of the LA Chargers. Even factoring in that Mack only was healthy enough to play in 7 games in the 2021 season, he still had 6 sacks. His impact in the Bears win over the Lions at Soldier Field, back in early October this past season, is a reflection of Mack's differential skills. Granted Mack turned 31 less than a month ago and is coming off a season in which he missed more games than he played. However, prior to this past season, Mack only missed 2 games since coming into the NFL with the then Oakland Raiders, in 2014.
