Detroit Lions free agency preview: RB Kerryon Johnson can't go it alone
………………………………………..
Based on the price range I think the Lions will want to stay in or at least be close to, Zach Zenner, Mike Davis, and Jeremy Hill are the likely RBs on this list the Lions would choose from. Hill is coming off a torn ACL in the Patriots 2018 regular season opener. The Lions definitely need to see where Hill is in terms of his recovery before making a decision on him.
Isaiah Crowell had character issues with the Browns and before that. If the Jets release him and the Lions are satisfied where Crowell is in this stage of his life, as well as getting a favorable medical report, he would likely be in play for the Lions.

Mike Davis agrees to terms with Bears
………
One less viable option for the Lions for a # 2 RB/ rushing rotation RB for the Lions. This contract could easily make it more difficult for the Lions to re-sign Zach Zenner.

Still unsigned, C.J. Anderson feels disrespected
………………………………
With the Rams matching the Lions offer sheet to Malcolm Brown, it looks like they are prepared to move on from C.J. Anderson.
The question becomes will the Lions make a serious attempt to sign Anderson, especially if he realizes his market value in the off-season isn't close to what he believes it should be???

Alfred Blue agrees to terms with Jaguars
…………………………………………..
Even though the Lions likely gave C.J. Anderson a noticeably higher value contract than the Jaguars gave Alfred Blue, Anderson is clearly the better RB.

Jaguars sign Benny Cunningham
……………….
IMHO, Benny Cunningham's versatility, including as a Kickoff Returner, and as receiving skills, are his strengths. If as expected, it's a low cost contract, it's a good decision by the Jaguars. Another benefit is Nick Foles and Benny Cunningham were teammates with the then St. Louis Rams in 2015.
