Jonah Jackson has been amongst the Lions most durable players in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Hopefully, the back injury he's dealing with isn't going to be an ongoing problem for him.

The Lions CB situation, even if A.J. Parker comes off IR for the Cardinals game, is one of the worst I've seen for an NFL team leading up to a game.

DeAndre Hopkins will have knee surgery, be out about 6 weeks

The Cardinals are deep at WR but the loss of DeAndre Hopkins will make the Cardinals path to the NFC West Title more difficult. The Cardinals appear to have more than enough quality at WR against the depleted Lions Secondary. Not to mention, the Lions likely being without edge player Julian Okwara a 2nd straight game, with his brother Romeo Okwara and Trey Flowers on IR.

Even with James Connor's status for the game at best up in the air and Rodney Hudson landing on the COVID-19 list, the Cardinals injury / availability situations are far better than what the Lions are dealing with.

With games against the Colts, Cowboys, and Seahawks coming up, the health of the Cardinals will go along way in whether they win the NFC West. It's in the Lions best interest the Cardinals hold off the LA Rams for the NFC West Title.

The Cardinals are in relatively good shape from an injury and health standpoint this late in the season. That much more when comparing their COVID-19 situation with the Lions COVID-19 situation and even so with the COVID-19 situations of Washington, Cleveland, and the LA Rams. All of which (excluding the Lions) led to their respective Week # 15 games being postponed until Monday or Tuesday.

I thought Charles Washington was a Pro Bowl Caliber Special Teams Player when he was with the Lions. His return to the Cardinals active roster is coming at a good time for the Cardinals.
