The Lions haven't beaten the Bears in Detroit since 2017, including one score Thanksgiving Day losses in 2018 and 2019. With the Bears coming back from a 17 points deficit to beat the Lions in the 2020 season opener.

The Bears team the Lions will be facing on Thanksgiving Day this season would be underdogs on the road to the vast majority of NFL teams. With Minnesota, Arizona, and Green Bay the Lions remaining home game opponents, Chicago is the probably the last realistic chance for a Lions home game win this season (unless Aaron Rodgers isn't used in the season finale).

The Lions have been more competitive when heavy underdogs and very few, if any, are predicting the Lions to win. Hence, I'm glad that the PFT writers/ commentators are predicting the Bears to win.

Penei Sewell struggled against the speed and quickness of Robert Quinn when the Lions and Bears played in Chicago in early October. If Quinn is getting the best of Taylor Decker as a pass rusher, the Lions will need to give Decker help often.

I haven't seen anything that indicates the decision has been made that Tim Boyle will start tomorrow.

Unless Taylor Decker comes out of the game with an injury, it's highly unlikely that Robert Quinn will be up against Penei Sewell in this game. I can't recall Quinn getting any snaps on the Left Side of the Bears Defense this season.

It will be evident in the first half if the Bears players are focused on the game. I'm going on the assumption that they come to play. Practically the last thing the Bears players will want is to be embarrassed by an 0-9-1 Lions team on National TV, on Thanksgiving Day.

I still believe it's risky not having 3 QBs on the Game Day roster for this game.

Mario Edwards Jr. is the only Bears player listed as Questionable, who's Inactive for the game.

My prediction is Bears 23, Lions 17.

Even with all of the chaos surrounding the Bears, they are the better team on paper. The Lions haven't played well in games that the point spread difference has been relatively low and the Lions were coming off a close loss. Andy Dalton has had the Lions number in his two games against the Lions, while with the Bengals. His experience and steady hand could easily be the difference for a Bears team that is under fire internally and externally.
