Taylor Decker will be back at left tackle for the Lions ..........
It's much welcome news that the expectation appears to be Taylor Decker will play in Pittsburgh this coming Sunday. I'm less concerned about Decker, even against an emerging edge player ( Alonso Highsmith ) than with Penei Sewell against T.J. Watt. The Lions will likely need to give Sewell, in his first regular season game at RT, plenty of help against Watt.

Anthony Lynn excited to have LT Taylor Decker back in the Lions lineup
........
A reason for optimism that Taylor Decker won't be substantially rusty like he was when missing the first half of the 2017 regular season is unlike in 2017, Decker participated in training camp this summer. Decker's torn Pectoral injury in 2017 occurred in an off-season practice.

Taylor Decker did not like the 'narrative of negativity' directed at him while he was injured
.......
This thread relates to the following thread:
Lions 16, Steelers 16 ( OT ): Game # 9 ( 2021 )
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/1255/lions-16-steelers-game-2021
It's understandable that Taylor Decker is angry at people that thought he wasn't making enough of an effort to return this season. Decker didn't get to being one of the better LTs in the NFL without working extremely hard. He's always been a team oriented player
A trade involving Decker this season wasn't even feasible while Decker was injured. It also wouldn't have made sense salary cap wise for the Lions. What happens beyond this season remains to be seen. Most likely, Decker will be back with the Lions for the 2022 season. Whether Decker will remain at LT, if he's back with the Lions for the 2022 season, is another question?
