PFT’s NFL Week Six 2021 picks
Bengals (-3.5) at Lions
MDS’s take: The Lions play hard and stay competitive, but they just don’t have the talent on their roster. While the Lions just start to rebuild, the Bengals are already on the way to a successful rebuilding effort. MDS’s pick: Bengals 28, Lions 23.
Florio’s take: Dan Campbell’s show of emotion won him many admirers. He still needs to win a game. It will be not easy to do that against an underrated Bengals team. Florio’s pick: Bengals 28, Lions 20.
………….
This is only the 2nd game through this point of the season that I feel going into the game the Lions have around a 50 % chance of winning. The game in Chicago was the first. Being back at home, especially with the voice issues that Joe Burrow might have during the game, could lead to much needed takeaways by the Lions.

Bengals claim former Seahawks CB Tre Flowers on waivers
………..
With the Bengals not having anyone on their 53 man roster Out or even Doubtful for the game, I would be surprised if Tre Flowers is active for the game. The Bengals will likely give him more time to adjust to their Defensive System and communication with other Bengals Defenders.

Detroit News predictions: Bengals at Lions ……
The Lions are also overdue to get a game deciding break against the Bengals, a team the Lions haven't beaten since 1992. The Lions haven't beaten the Bengals at home since 1970. That game was the first time the two teams played against each other in the regular season.

Detroit News scouting report: Bengals at Lions
………..
The Bengals have one of the best trios of trios of WRs with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. TE C.J. Uzomah is an underrated big play receiver. The Lions need to get the Bengals into expected passing situations and generate pressure on Joe Burrow.

How the Bengals can avoid an upset against the Lions
……….
The Lions pass rush isn't close to being stellar. But I believe it's significantly better thsn in was in the 2020 season. This is even factoring in the season ending injury in Chicago to Romeo Okwara, two weeks ago.
The Lions run Defense is also better than what the writer covering the Bengals expressed. A 48 yard run by Alexander Mattison changed the entire perception of the Lions overall performance vs. the Vikings against the run.

Bengals vs. Lions preview: 7 things to know about Week 6
………….
The score of the 2017 game between the teams was 26-17.
The Lions likely will try to keep the Bengals running game under control without a Safety in or near the box. Much like against the Vikings, the Lions need to help protect the team's CBs against quality outside WRs.

Detroit Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals forward: Matchups to watch, key questions heading into Week 6
…….
Even with all of the injuries, the Lions are making progress in a few areas, with the Defense the greatest jump forward. The Lions Defense didn't get the job done in crunch time in recent games. But especially against Baltimore and at Minnesota, the Lions Defense looked like a much better unit than most of last season and first 2 games of this season. The Lions Defense will be tested by the Bengals Offense, especially their skill players.

Lions vs Bengals inactive player list: All 4 Lions listed as questionable will play
...………...
Good news regarding the Lions injury situation with the players not on IR.
Geronimo Allison and Nickell Robey-Coleman are both active.
Nothing surprising regarding the Bengals Inactive.
My prediction for the game is Lions 24, Bengals 20. I think the Lions being back at home will make a difference. Especially, if Joe Burrow has voice issues. The Lions Defensive front 7 leads the way in the Lions upset win.
The Lions have improved, even though the team's record doesn't reflect this and injuries have hit the Lions extremely hard ( 14 players on IR ). It wouldn't surprise me if the Bengals won. But I'm not convinced they are as good as their 3-2 record reflects.
