The Lions best chance to even have a chance to win the game in the latter stages is if the Lions shorten the game. It might not seen like the most exciting football. But this Lions team, especially without Taylor Decker, is not build for shootouts.

The loss of Levi Onwuzurike is a significant one for the Lions. Especially, when considering the huge upside potential as a pass rush and against the run he demonstrated in the pre-season.

The Lions likely chose Gordon Igwebuike over Jermar Jefferson for the game because of Special Teams. It looks like a determination has been made that D'Andre Swift can handle a sizable load.


Trey Sermon is the only surprise for me, regarding the 49ers Inactives.
