Detroit Lions release CB Quinton Dunbar, sign RB Craig Reynolds
Lions release CB Quinton Dunbar
.......
This new thread is a continuation of the following thread:
Quinton Dunbar quotes/ info: 2021 season

Quinton Dunbar ended up not having the positive impact for the Lions that I thought he could have. It turned out that Quinton Dunbar didn't have an injury that kept him out of Lions Training Camp. The bottom line for the Lions is Dunbar didn't pan out but his cap charge is minimal.
Hopefully, Dunbar's personal situation improves greatly ASAP.
It's very encouraging that Jeff Okudah has made massive strides in training camp. But the overall Lions CB situation beyond Okudah has question marks all over the place.
Craig Reynolds is a long shot to become an established NFL player with the Lions or probably with any other team as well

Craig Reynolds strongly states his case to make the Lions

This thread relates to the following thread:
Steelers 26, Lions 20: Pre-Season Game # 2 ( 2021 )

Much like with Derrick Barnes and David Blough, I hope the Lions coaches decide to give Gerald Reynolds much earlier snaps against the Colts in the pre-season finale. Barnes is a lock to make the opening day 53 man roster, barring the injury factor. But he could warrant playing more on Defense early in the season than it looked like would be the case with him missing so much practice time.
In the cases of Blough and Reynolds, seeing them against better competition could go along way in determining whether they should be exposed to waivers? Reynolds' upside might turn out higher than anyone could have imagined.
