..... One change the NFL should consider deciding games in OT is the team that Kicks to begin in OT should Kickoff from the 50 yard line instead of their own 35 yard line. This would enable the team that Kicks the ball off to increase the chances of pinning the receiving team deep or providing the team receiving the ball with a more favorable Onside Kickoff risk vs reward outcome.
My guess is the NFL will be reluctant implement this change because of their concern with Safety on Kickoffs. Being that this change would only take place at the beginning of OT, any increased risk wouldn't extend beyond at most one play per game.
