PFT’s Week 10 picks
……………….
Lions at Bears
MDS’s take: A visit from the Lions’ defense should be the thing to get Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears’ offense back on track. MDS’s pick: Bears 28, Lions 24.
Florio’s take: The Bears aren’t good, but they aren’t horrible. And with their back against the wall, it’s time to get a win against a Lions team that still hasn’t learned how to. Florio’s pick: Bears 23, Lions 20.
Both teams have very little margin of error from this point forward. If the Lions effectively can keep Khalil Mack from taking the game over ( which won't be remotely easy ), a Lions win is there for the taking.

Detroit Lions considered 2.5-point underdogs for road tilt with Chicago Bears
………..
The Bears are the healthier team, though they are hurting on their Defensive Line. It remains to be seen if NT Eddie Goldman will play in this game, after suffering a thigh injury during the loss to the Eagles this past Sunday.
DE Akiem Hicks is on Short Term I.R. as a result of an elbow dislocation he suffered against the loss to the Raiders in London in week # 5. IMHO, Hicks is a differential player. He's ideal for the Bears 3-4 Base Defense. I would rank him as the 2nd best player on the Bears, only behind OLB Khalil Mack. This speaks volumes, considering the many highly talented / productive players the Bears have on Defense.

Mitchell Trubisky reportedly wants TVs turned off at Bears’ facility to block criticism
………..
Chicago is passionate about the Bears. They play under a microscope, as they are the only NFL team in a market large enough to support 2 NFL teams again.
If the Bears Offense gets off to a slow start against what has been a struggling Lions Defense, things could snowball for Mitchell Trubisky and that unit. The same tbe other way ( confidence and momentum ) if they get off to a fast start.

4 bold predictions for Bears' Week 10 matchup vs. Lions
…………..
With the Lions dealing with numerous injuries on the Defensive Line and Tracy Walker almost certainly going to miss his 2nd straight game with a knee injury, these predictions actually happening wouldn't surprise me. Unless a number of Defensive players step up, the Bears have a good chance of getting 30 or more points in this game. Especially, if the Lions turn the ball over multiple times. The greater the struggles on Defense for the Lions, the more likely the Lions will have multiple turnovers on Offense. The Lions need to maintain the threat of a rushing attack on Offense.
Darius Slay didn't play in the game at Chicago last November. That causes a chain reaction in the Lions Secondary that was the main reason the Bears built a large first half lead. If Slay plays as expected in the upcoming game in Chicago and doesn't suffer a setback, it will be more difficult ( relatively speaking ) for the Bears to dominate the game on Offense. This is even with the Lions injuries on Defense.
If the Lions can somehow win this game and get much healthier next week, this game can be a season turning point. Right now, it's wishful thinking more than both likely to happen.

Detroit Lions predictions vs. Chicago Bears: Who wins and why
…………..
My prediction is Bears 27, Lions 20. It wouldn't even surprise me if the game isn't this close. The Lions have too many significant injuries for me to confidence that the Lions are going to beat a desperate Bears team on their home field.

Detroit News predictions: Lions at Bears
……………..
I hope I'm wrong but my impression is that the writers are underestimating the Bears. Even with the Bears struggles on Offense, they have plenty of talent on that side of the ball. The Lions Defense in it's current state could easily have another long day.

Five things to watch: Lions at Bears
………….
If the Lions don't effectively establish the run, that opens the door for Khalil Mack to have a direct or indirect impact on the game. The Lions must be fundamental sound on all 3 units. With it being absolutely essential on Offense, with Mack the # 1 reason why. Any assignment mistakes likely will be costly.

View from the other side: Lions at Bears
………….
t's a BIG IF. But if the Lions at least break even regarding takeaways vs. turnovers AND avoid giving up big plays on Defense, I then would like the Lions chances of winning the game.

………………
The loss of Matthew Stafford overshadows everything witb the Lions. Yet, the loss of Romeo Okwara, who like Miles Killebrew was injured in practice leading up to today's game in Chicago, could prove very costly if the Lions Offense is able to function decently without Stafford. This, on top of the other injured players already ruled out of this game.

profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/11/10/week-10-early-inactives-9/
Lions at Bears Lions: QB Matthew Stafford, DL Da'shawn Hand, S Miles Killebrew, S Tracy Walker, CB Michael Jackson, G Beau Benzschawel, DE Romeo Okwara Bears: LB Isaiah Irving, DB Duke Shelley, LB Josh Woods, OL Alex Bars, TE Adam Shaheen, DL Abdullah Anderson, WR Riley Ridley
…………..
Eddie Goldman is on the Bears Gameday roster.
Adam Shaheen is a healthy scratch. Shaheen, a talented former 2nd Round Pick by the Bears, is having a disappointing season for them. The Bears overall TE play has been problematic for them. A position that looked like a strength on paper going into the season.
