Lions down to 4-point underdogs for Monday night tilt with Green Bay Packers
……………..
I don't anticipate the point spread going down to Green Bay -3. The fact that it went from -6 to -4 or - 4.5 demonstrates the Lions have earned respect for the team's 1st quarter of the season results.
The Packers are a more balanced team on Offense than often has been the case with them for a long time. Their Defense certainly looks substantially improved. They enter this game in 1st place in the NFC North and 2-0 in the Division. Right now, they are the team to beat in the division. The good news for the Lions is the team will be well rested following the bye.

PFT’s Week Six picks
……….
Lions at Packers
MDS’s take: The NFC North is incredibly competitive, but if the Packers win this one they’re in first place and have a head-to-head win against all three divisional opponents. I think they’ll get it.
MDS’s pick: Packers 24, Lions 21.
Florio’s take: The Lions are better than expected, but the Packers are finding their groove under Matt LaFleur.
Florio’s pick: Packers 27, Lions 23.
…………
A one score game seems more likely than not at this point in time.

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers: Scouting report, prediction
…………..
IMHO, T.J. Hockenson has been more effective as a receiver than as a blocker both in the pre-season and the first 4 combined games in the regular season.
There's no question that the 'Smith Brothers' will test the Lions Offensive Tackles and overall pass protection.
Matt Prater wasn't at fault for the late 4th QTR blocked FG in Philadelphia.

Lions scratch Quandre Diggs against Packers; T.J. Hockenson, Darius Slay in
…………..
All things considering, tbe Lions managed well vs. the Chiefs after Quandre Diggs went down. Tavon Wilson and Will Harris need to build on their good play from that game. There's no question ( barring Aaron Rodgers leaving the game with an injury ) the Lions will be using extra DBs with regularity in this game.

Five things to watch: Lions at Packers
..............
Regardless of which team wins, I believe the Lions will demonstrate that the team belongs on the same field as the Packers and will be a significant factor in the outcome of the NFC North race.

View from the other side: Lions vs. Packers
...........
My guess is the Lions will often ( more than 50 % of the time ) put an extra defender in the box. With a Nickel Defense being used more than any other combination.
