Report: Lions make Justin Coleman the highest-paid nickel in the NFL……………… Justin Coleman is a good player who has playmaking ability. That skill is something Bob Quinn put an emphasis on going into the FA period. Coleman's best position is Nickel CB. However, he's more than capable on the outside. Coleman is a good Special Teams Player as well. Very good intangibles. His experience under Matt Patricia is a major plus as well. He's not coming cheap. That's an understatement. But the overall sum of what Coleman provides is why I believe the Lions aggressively agreed to a contract with him.

Hmmm...interesting signing. That’s a lot of money for a nickelback. It definitely upgrades the Lions’ secondary; but I’m curious to see how this will play out.

Same here, Joe.
I'm anticipating that Justin Coleman will get some snaps on the outside. With Coleman an option to start on the outside if an injury occurs to a Lions starting outside CB.
