Pierre Garçon turns 33 in August. That, combined with lack of durability makes it easy to conclude that the contract terms would need to be on the modest side for it to possibly make sense for the Lions to sign him.

Regarding how the Lions proceed in Free Agency at Slot Receiver, so much is going to depend on the overall market at the position, the market for each of tbe slot Receivers, and how much the Lions are willing to spend.
Bruce Ellington could be re-signed as a backup slot Receiver and as a Return Specialist.
Unless the Lions trade Marvin Jones, the Lions very likely won't spend much in terms of a WR who is considered basically an outside WR. Tyrell Williams probably would be out of the Lions price range barring Jones being traded.
I think there's a very good change T.J. Jones has played his last down for the Lions. He was a huge disappointment in man to man coverage, after Marvin Jones went down for the season in Chicago.
