Lions optimistic D’Andre Swift can return this week
...........
It's good to see that D'Andre Swift has progressed to the point that he's on the path to be cleared to play in Chicago this coming Sunday.
Kenny Golladay might have had a setback in practice two weeks ago today ( leading up to the game at Carolina ).

Kenny Golladay, D’Andre Swift miss Lions practice again; Trey Flowers makes progress
Even though D'Andre Swift cleared the Concussion Protocol, it's concerning that he missed practice today with an illness. Even if Swift plays in Chicago on Sunday, I expect him to have noticeably less snaps than he did vs. the WFT. Stamina could easily be an issue, when factoring in the concussion, current illness, and missed practice time.

Bears’ Akiem Hicks returns to practice, Khalil Mack still out
..........
Plenty can change in the remaining days and then hours leading up to the game. Right now, I believe the Bears coaches are optimistic Khalil Mack, Akiem Hicks, and Charles Leno will start the game. Whether one or more won't be able to finish the game because of their respective existing injury is another question that looms large regarding the eventual outcome of the game.

Teams are really scraping out every corner of their roster ! I've watched the exciting rivalry game Ravens @ Steelers and the Ravens'team was nowhere near what it was 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the Lions don't have similar quality depth on their roster.

Sure. The stakes are higher for the Bears though.

Jeff Okudah, Kenny Golladay officially out for Lions; D’Andre Swift questionable
......
Agreed.
In essence the Bears season is on the line tomorrow against the Lions. With the futures of GM Ryan Pace, HC, Matt Nagy, and even Team President Ted Phillips hanging in the balance. If the Bears lose to this undermanned Lions team tomorrow, at least one of the three probably won't even last to the end of the season.
Regarding the article, this is the 2nd straight game Jeff Okudah will miss and 3rd overall this season.
With the Lions shorthanded at CB, if S Tracy Walker doesn't play, that will be one less option for snaps at the Nickel CB position. This in addition to one less option at Safety.
The good news is Darryl Roberts was activated today and that Mike Ford is set to return from a concussion he suffered at Carolina 13 days ago.

RB D’Andre Swift downgraded to doubtful to play in Chicago, TE Isaac Nauta released
.........
I hope that the illness D'Andre Swift has isn't concussion related. Much isn't known about concussions. It seems possible that additional concussion related affects surfaced on Thursday after the Independent Neurologist cleared Swift from the Concussion Protocol.
Austin Bryant being downgraded is yet another setback for him. With Julian Okwara not activated for the Bears game and Trey Flowers still out, the Lions have limited edge pass rush options.
The elevation of Bobby Price from the PS for the game probably relates to uncertainty ( at best ) regarding Tracy Walker's situation.

It would be much more surprising if either player is Inactive for this game.
