Roger Goodell: NFL draft remains on schedule, publicly complain and face potential punishment
……………
This draft is going to test the football operation of the Lions organization that Bob Quinn put together. The efforts by scouts during the season probably will be even more important than in a much more typical year.
One thing that I believe will help the Lions that much more with a select amount of players is the Lions coaching staff being able to coach the Senior Bowl North Squad.

Could an isolated coronavirus-free facility be only way for NFL to play in 2020?
...………..
It's hard to envision this type of setup becoming a reality and working as intended. The reasons:
1. It will take longer than a few months to build the complex needed for several thousand people to stay for several months. Including a medical facility. 2. Food is going to be needed from the outside. People from the outside will be needed to deliver food. 3. Supplies are probably going to be needed from the outside. Not everything will be accounted for. 4. People have families. Many won't be able to be away from their families for such a long period of time for various reasons. Good luck finding TV crews. It's not like they get paid like Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. 5, The NFL uses part time officials ( which I have disagreed with for decades ). How many of the officials are going to have their regular jobs? It will be much more difficult to training replacements because of the Coronavirus situation. 6. Injuries are inevitable. Additional players will be needed. They will have to be tested. How practical will that be at given times in the NFL season?
There are probably other reasons why a setup like this won't work.
