……………….
The good news for the Lions under the circumstance of the injuries is Romeo Okwara isn't listed on the initial injury report for the game and Rick Wagner had limited practice.

......
Daron Payne didn't practice all week. My guess is he won't be playing in this game. If Payne does play, he probably will have less snaps than in a typical game.

Trey Flowers, Frank Ragnow among 5 starters ruled out by Lions
…………
I still believe that the rotation the Lions used at Guard in the first 9 out of 10 games is an overall negative. Having said that, hopefully the playing time Kenny Wiggins gained as a result of the rotation will prove beneficial with Frank Ragnow out.

Week 12 injury report roundup

Lions at Washington
Lions QB Matthew Stafford (hip, back) is out for the third straight week. CB Jamal Agnew (ankle), DE Trey Flowers (concussion), DE Da'shawn Hand (ankle), C Frank Ragnow (concussion), and S Tracy Walker (knee) are also out for Detroit. CB Rashaan Melvin (ribs) is listed as questionable.
Washington CB Josh Norman (hamstring), RB Adrian Peterson (toe) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) are listed as questionable for this weekend. DT Da’Ron Payne (ankle) is unlikely to play after drawing a doubtful tag.
……………….
The Redskins are 1-9. It makes no sense for them putting Daron Payne at risk with an injury that kept him out of practice all week and led to him being listed as Doubtful. Payne is one of the players they can rebuild around.

……………
Soon after I finish reading an article about T.J. Hockenson that I just posted, I come across this information.
The Lions are suffering too many injuries in practice during the regular season. This is something that will be needed to be evaluated as part of the decision making process.

…………
If Chris Thompson is out or noticeably limited, the Lions chances of getting the Redskins off tbe field w/o Washington scoring a TD on a given drive likely increases substantially.
