Detroit Lions promote RB Bo Scarbrough to 53-man roster, release Paul Perkins
…...……...
I think the Lions are taking a risk only going witb 3 Halfbacks for this game. Ty Johnson is coming off a concussion. What happens if he starts feel concussion symptoms again? With FB Nick Bawden now listed as Questionable, the Lions might have to turn to WR Marvin Hall for help at RB if injuries pile up at the position vs. the Cowboys.
Bo Scarbrough is likely going to get at least 5 carries in this game. He's an x factor.

Well at least the Lions have Bo Scarbrough going for them

Though Rick Wagner made a mistake by holding, the run wouldn't have bounced out wide right if LG Joe Dahl wasn't pushed back substantially. Wagner hasn't played up to his contract numbers overall. But he was one of the Lions best performing players at Washington.
If Bo Scarbrough remains relatively healthy moving forward and protects the ball better play after play, he could be part of a winning RB unit solution in tbe future. As a receiver, Scarbrough probably won't be more than a safety valve option. But because Scarbrough is demonstrating good pass blocking skills ( this is a heavy emphasis with Nick Saban with Alabama ), he is a viable RB option in 3rd Down expected passing situations.
