The latest on Matthew Stafford’s back/hip injury; no Romeo Okwara

The good news is other than the players on I.R., most notably Kerryon Johnson and Tra Carson, all of the Lions players on Offense were able to practice today. The bad news is the injuries the Lions are dealing with on Defense, with the Defensive Line the greatest concern, and Sam Martin's injury.
If Sam Martin is unable to play, my greatest concern regarding this is the holding for Matt Prater on FGs and PATs. The timing and placement of the ball is critical. It could affect Prater from a mental standpoint as well. Under normal circumstance, kicking in Soldier Field is as difficult as in any stadium in the NFL.

The health availability questions regarding Eddie Goldman is one of the key stories leading up to this game. Goldman is one of the best interior Defensive Line run Defenders in the NFL. He also is an underrated pass rusher. Largely because of his bull rush ability.
Isaiah Irving is a decent rotation OLB / edge player.
