Lions-Bills 5 things to watch: Matthew Stafford's status, Jahlani Tavai's role
………………
With many teams sitting out starters throughout the pre-season, to a much greater extent than in past season, I'm not anticipating Matthew Stafford playing in the entire 2019 pre-season.The Cam Newton foot related injury he suffered in a Panthers pre-season this evening reinforces my opinion that much more. A number of other Lions starters, especially starters coming off injuries, likely won't play vs. the Bills tomorrow night.

10 players to watch in Detroit Lions' dress rehearsal against Bills
…………………….
Jamal Agnew showed plenty of promise as a Nickel CB before going down with a knee injury vs. Green Bay in game # 5. The opponent he struggled against and then-some was Dallas ( Cole Beasley ). If Agnew demonstrates plenty of improvement against Beasley, now with Buffalo, that would bode well for Agnew's future at CB. It remains to be seen how much, if at all, Beasley is used in this game.

Eight Lions players to watch in preseason game vs. Bills
……...……
The Lions brass needs to see backup Offensive Lineman demonstrate that they warrant roster spots. Even assuming Kenny Wuggins will be a backup at G and T, there's no one else that's relatively healthy AND has demonstrated they warrant a roster spot.
My plan is to offer thoughts about the pre-season game on Sunday,
