I agree that these are the 3 position groups that are most important tonight in terms of needing to see improvement. There are too many key players out in the Front 7 on Defense to expect a noticeably better pass rush. Especially, since the Luons coaches keep things vanilla for the most part in the pre-season.

It would make sense in giving Chris Lacy work with the Lions starting unit in tonight's pre-season game ( I'm planning on watching the game in the next hour or two. Thoughts about the game planned for Sunday. ). The Lions need a WR to emerge as a viable backup option on the outside.

Kevin Strong could easily get caught in a numbers game. If he performs well in the remaining 3 pre-season games, the Lions might have to keep him on tbe 53 man roster. Exposing a promising player to waivers is risky.
