Lions' Week 2 opponent suffer devastating injury in Chargers secondary

The very likely loss of Derwin James, in addition to the other key injury question marks the Chargers are dealing with, easily could adversely impact their season. This doesn't even include the uncertainty regarding Melvin Gordon. The Chargers are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Whether that will be enough to overcome key player losses, if that is indeed the reality for them, remains to be seen.

The Chargers have dealt with adverse injury situations repeatedly in recent seasons. That doesn't change the fact that the Lions are getting a huge break because of the Chargers misfortune. Whether the Lions can take advantage of the Chargers adversity remains to be seen.

A back injury can limit anyone. It's more pronounced when you play LT in the NFL, going up against high caliber edge rushers.
Matt Patricia and co. deserve criticism for some of the Lions communication problems on the Offensive Line in Arizona. The major reason why, the rotation of the Lions Guards for non injury reason ( s ).
