Lions release CB Marcus Cooper Sr., sign AAF standout Jamar Summers

The injury Marcus Cooper dealt with in training camp clearly didn't help his cause to make tbe Lions opening day 53 man roster. It's possible but unlikely Cooper will be re-signed by the Lions at a later date.
Jamar Summers' ball skills are apparent, based on his Interception numbers dating back to his Connecticut days. Summers was a teammate of Lions S Andrew Adams with UConn. Adams is another player who has a knack for interceptions.
