The Lions beat the Packers twice ( 1990 and 1991 ) in Green Bay during Barry Sanders' years as a player with the Lions. The Lions lost 9 road games to the Packers during this time span, including a Wild Card Playoff game in the 1994 season. It's understandable that Barry Sanders doesn't have many good memories in terms of the outcome of these games. If he had a QB on Matthew Stafford's level, the results probably would have been a little better.
