Lions’ Matt Patricia eye-to-eye with Darius Slay after remarks on struggling defense
…...………
The combination of the Lions Front 7 never playing together in the pre-season and injuries on Defense in the regular season have contributed greatly to the struggles of the Lions Defense. If the Lions Defense doesn't start playing much better, beginning with the upcoming game in Chicago, the losses are going to continue to pile up.

Lions CB Darius Slay: Officials botched call on crucial catch right before halftime
…………
This thread relates to the following thread:
Vikings 20, Lions 7: Game # 13 ( 2019 )
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/518/vikings-20-lions-game-2019
In the video from the article, there's a 2nd replay that I didn't recall seeing. That replay is more along the lines of the original live play video in that it looked like Stefon Diggs should have been called for Offensive Pass Interference. The first replay though shows Darius Slay making contact first. I understand why Offensive P.I. wasn't called. But much like in a recent NFL game ( I think it was the Cowboys-Bears game ), offsetting penalties probably should have been called. That would have kept the situation as 3rd and 2 around midfield instead of giving the Vikings 1st and Goal.

Lions’ Darius Slay says he’s blocked at least 1,000 haters on Twitter since Week 4
………………
The negativity surrounding the Lions isn't going to decrease anytime soon.
In most cases, I have no issue with a player or former player blocking someone on Twitter.
One former Lions player ( Travis Swanson ) I'm aware of blocked me a while back. Very likely, because he saw at least one Tweet ( I don't recall ever replying to him ) mentioning that it would be in Swanson's best interest to retire ( which he eventually did ) as an NFL player, because of his history with concussions. My guess is he viewed the Tweet ( s ) as negativity. I still wish him well.
