The Vikings went from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 point favorites from early in the week. My guess is the very likely season ending leg injury to Aidan Hutchinson is the primary reason the point spread went up a point.

I'm concerned that Lions RG Kevin Zeitler is going to be out with injury for the game. The Lions need a high level all around performance by the team's Offensive Line and to win the Takeaway vs. Turnover battle.

T.J. Hockenson and G Dalton Risner aren't going to be activated for this game.

Aaron Jones, if relatively healthy, is capable of being a difference maker for the Vikings. Very good to great all-around RB.

Alim McNeill and the Lions overall interior Defensive Line need to get the best of the Vikings Interior Offensive Line. The Vikings have a major advantage with LT Christian Darrisaw and RT Brian O'Neill vs. the Lions Edge players that will be available.

Robert Tonyan was an Lions UDRFA out of Indiana St. in 2017. He didn't make the 53 man roster. Tonyan went on to play for the other 3 NFC North teams. His best days as an NFL player were with the Packers, with arguably the Lions being the Packers opponent that Tonyan had his most success against as a receiver.

This game has the feel of a Sunday Night game, not a 1pm ET/ 12pm CT start.

Justin Jefferson is the most differential player in this game. The Lions have to at least substantially limit Jefferson. Easier said than done.

Defensive penalties in cover by the Lions in this game seem inevitable. The key is keeping the Vikings from scoring TDs, in addition to the Lions winning the Takeaway vs. Turnover Battle.

IMHO, a major difference between Lions C Frank Ragnow and Vikings C Garrett Bradbury is Ragnow is much better against power.

My prediction for the game is Lions 31, Vikings 30. My prediction of the Lions winning the game is probably the least confident of the first 6 games. The loss of Aidan Hutchinson is beyond a huge concern.
